Hi all,

I was zeroing in my XM177E2 clone about a month ago on a bench rest, stock fully extended etc etc....couple shots into it, the stock collapsed into the closed position. After this, it would happen just shouldering and pulling the rifle into me. I took the stock off and noticed that the fully extended "hole" on the buffer tube has basically rounded out, so there isn't much holding the stock in the open position anymore. It is a two position metal tube.

Im really not sure what caused this - maybe the pin on the stock itself isnt adjusted to sit deep enough in the buffer hole, hence the rounding on the side to collapse the stock.

Any ideas where I can get a replacement to keep this a "clone?"

Awesome, thank you for that.

The upper and lower receiver are anodized black.....like midnight black. Is there anything I can do on my end to make it match the color of my E.A./Colt XM16E1? That stick is more of a light grey. Ive heard of norrels and alumahyde but ive never messed with any of them. Just looking to be pointed in the right direction. Thank you!
