I have finished my latest 727 build. Not the most exact 727 retro, but it works for me for now. It would have been nice to have a NDS-16A1 lower to build it on, but I need to use a DPMS lower I had laying around. Well, here are the pics.

I used a 14.5" DD M4 profile barrel with an extended A2 FH (pinned and soldered). I ended up using a 4-pos. buffer tube since I had one laying around. Overall, I am pretty happy with it. Now, I just need to get my 602 and 723 builds done.

The extended A2 FH is available through BCM. When using a 14.5" bbl, this can be attached to the barrel, in accordance with approved ATF methods, to make the barrel legal length. Not doing so, would constitute in having a unregistered SBR and in violation of federal law. I highly recommend using the ext. A2 FH if you plan on using a 14.5" bbl.
