Well guys, I am at it again. This time I am doing a 727 build. I am working on ordering the 14.5" upper through Model1Sales (I already have a registered SBR lower) and I have an extended A2 FH coming from BCM to have it pinned and soldered to make it a legal length for a non-SBR lower. What I am in need of is a used full-auto M16 BCG for it. If anyone has a lead on one for a decent price, please e-mail me. Thanks

James

EE and GB are your best bets.

Just picked one up on GB, paid about $200 but needs firing pin and cam pin.  Seems about right these days

I have a bid on one on GB right now.

I lost the one on GB, but HKILLER has come through for me with a used Colt FA BCG. Pretty much what I was looking for to begin with. Now, I have to start working on the upper build. I found out from M1S yesterday that they are 10-12 months out on new orders. So, I now have to find a 14.5" M4 profile barrel assembly and an A2 upper receiver. These retro builds are becoming a pain in the neck, but I like the outcome.

OK, so since I now have ALL the parts for my 727 build - I just want clarity on posting the build here.  It is a BHD type and I am doing a BFPU treatment to it right now.  Assembly to start soon.

So is it "retro" enough or not?

That is about the same thing I will be doing to mine. I like the BFPU look. The challenge I have is that I am using a DPMS lower that I have had for some time now. I am going to attempt to fill the logo with JB Weld mixed with some black paint. I am going to use some Naval Jelly first to get the right color of the finish. Then I will see how the aging will go after that. I have managed to locate an A2 upper receiver and 14.5" barrel on the EE. Funds are going out tomorrow for them. I have also ordered all of the other pieces I will need for assembly. Now, I just have to wait a week or so for everything to come in.

Yeah, I think I have a way around that though!  I will just take a picture of 2 carbines, the new 727 and either my XM177E2 or 651 just for "comparison"!
