I've searched and can't find out any way to date this bolt that I just picked up.

So I ask the experts if this bolt is anything special?

I found that the very early bolts only had a "P" mark but this one has MP C.

Looks way more polished looking than the ones I found pics of. Used a lot? Re plated?

it's a colt bolt that's either been polished or plated.

I've got just the parts gun for this bolt then.

Didn't want to use something vintage in my parts gun project.

well the MP touching is a little older than the M P C ones and the dot matrixed ones today.  this is a late 60s, 70s bolt right?
