Went to a gun show today, What a joke. SP1's $2500, $350 DPMS stripped lowers, $60 USGI mags. I did find a CH upper for $75. Not too bad just a little disappointing.

There was a fun show here a few weeks ago, same story on prices, but I bought nuffin.
Everyone (venders and customers) seemed pissed. The least expensive AR that I saw was a RR lower under a 604 upper was $1500 firm. I did not see and money changing hands. (I hope a message was sent and received  ) It will be interesting to see the prices at the next show here; if there is going to be one.....

Could easily be the end of an era for buying and selling guns and unfortunately it's probably gonna happen. Our last show sold every modern firearm in less the 60 minutes with no deals. My rule of thumb, if it's a hobby I'm interested in it won't be long before it's priced beyond my means or simply done away with. Can one imagine telling their grandchildren how America stood for freedom throughout the world when they were young and their grandchildren looking on in disbelief. Of the 2000 americans murdered daily few are actually done with assault / military style weapons. They cost too much to throw in the river! My wife's godson was murdered by his wife and her mother very recently. He was stabbed to death while sleeping! and yes they obviously had mental problems. Was a tough x-mas. Same regime is gonna arm the 39% of veterans who have some type of mental disability and make them LEO's, homeland security and security guards. That's putting the fox in the hen house.
I knew something was up when the major topic for our past election was gay marriage and Mr. O smugly looked everyone in the eye and said "they weren't gonna rob Americans of their gun ownership privilleges". Knowing da$m well that was exactly what they had in mind. I undestand why a minority might support the current regeim but not anyone with an IQ over 75 who appreciates freedom. Those that want this gun crap are gonna be the ones the bad guys target too, simply because they are gonna be the only ones with anything left to steal. Hide your wives and daughters (heck grandma might not be safe). They honestly believe that our LEA's that can't keep weed out of every single elementary school in the country are gonna be able to protect them. Reminds me of a Roman history repeat or in more recent times a guy named Adolf. |

I haven't sold anything...yet, but I can tell you with the prices being asked it's a real temptation to put my meager collection on the block.
The few Retros I have seem to attract a lot of attention during range visits, it's a matter of time before someone approaches & asks,"Do you want to sell it?" |

And buy some of his parts he didn't want. Not a p-mag in the building, everything double or some cases triple! Ps90 -4000.00, sp1 2200.00,hk33 4500.00,standard lowers 500.00 and up, one lower at 1500.00!!! And no retro parts. Sad. |
| Same story at a small show here, building filled to max occupancy and people had to wait outside for others to leave. I did find a very nice right side no drain hole hand guard for $10. I think everyone is scrambling to buy mechanical parts and not paying as close attention to small retro parts. |

I quit collecting coins when silver hit $14 an ounce.
Hang on to them. You're probably gonna have to trade them for food at some point depending on your age. Glad I'm getting old as future is rather bleak for most anyone young. Hey werlcome to how the rest of the world lives. I can say I've lived in the hayday of America. AC, heat, color TV, fine bathed women and lots of good food. I still work very hard from before sun up while sweating profusely or in the freezing rain / snow to after sun down on many occasions but hard work is actually good for the human body and mind. |

I still have all my good ones. I sold a bunch of the junk stuff to pay for a transmission, and I gave my penny collection to my cousin. His apartment got broken into in 2011 and they stole his wheat pennies. I started collecting guns with horses on them. I tell people I collect "My Little Ponies" instead. |

Or the 1500.00 bolt/ carrier, I think that guy lost his account Over that one. If its a rifle everybody is adding 1000. To the price Right off the bat. There are still some deals on EE but not at the shows. But then again, it may not be a bad time to hit the shows for Retro parts, everybody wants rifles, rails, receivers and Magpul. Nobody is interested in " old crap" |
