That would be cool in .17 HMR or .22 hornet.
But would probably have to be 3/4 scale, that thing is tiny.

GI Joe = 1/6 scale

The gun linked = 1/2 scale

Big difference in size.....

A company called 21st Century Toys launched a 1/6th revolution in the late 90's, and by 2003 you could find just about any weapon for your GI Joe, produced from about 5 different companies. 21 Century was bought out by Jak's Pacific, in the mid 00's, and quality plummeted along with popularity. Soon after they nearly stopped making weapon sets, which some(Me included) called a good thing. Dragon Models put out the best product overall. But they were very limited in what they produced.

The 1/2 scale M-16 linked is more of a specialty item, aimed at the adult collector. Keep in mind it was hand made out of what looks like Brass, Zinc, and plastic. Truly one of a kind, and made in very limited numbers.

I'm tempted to buy one myself....

You might be able to find them cheaper then the ebay auction. Not for 50 bucks though. I would be all over that.
