Interesting indeed. That illustration in figure 11-1 looks exactly like a model 601.

Hey, I'm in!  Thanks for the heads up.
My father in law was there at that time, and he did train on a 601 (although not with a Delft).

He's seen many of my ARs when I take them to the farm and never said much about them.  But the first time I pulled out the 01 in front of him, his eyes lit up.  He actually exclaimed, "Hey, that's just like the one I used in the Air Force!"
That 01 was wearing black furniture, so it's not like the different color tipped him off.  Maybe it was the duckbill that he recognized.  But something definitely triggered a memory.
I wonder if he'd remember this document...

The bayonet looks familiar...I wonder if the USAF ever ordered any???
