I have a retro FA selector that I would like to use in a SA firearm. I wanted to clarify what needs to be done to make it a fuction like a SA selector: grind the nub and weld up the last position on the detent channel on the side, is this correct?

Just grind the shark fin off. When its on safe and you open the gun, you can clearly see it is gone.
I dont think you need to weld up the detent nub. Even in the auto spot, without the shark fin there is no way thats gonna make it go auto.

You don't actually HAVE to weld up the last detent hole,the selector will go into all 3 positions but will be safe,semi,semi.
