Why is it that some 601 lowers have the logo and print in contrasting white while others are the same anodizing as the surrounding lower?  The only other time I have seen this is on the prototype lowers with the Pegasus lowers.

sometimes done with chalk too.  a good non permanent way to show the engraving details.

I've used chalk on a few of my pistols for that effect with good results. Some people also use white crayon as well.

I prefer the chalk, as it is easier apply, no heat required, and it is easy to remove. I thought about doing this on my GM 603 receiver, but decided against it. Looks kinda cheesy on a retro rifle IMHO.
