| Paint help! Bought a bum can of clear coat and it (I) messed up my sweet 601 furniture paint job. Has a little orange peel and a run. Never seen the likes. The can would only spray upside down and nozzle cleared out upright working oposite of what I'm used to and kinda messed me up. Call me confused. Will the clear wet sand after proper curing and possibly repair the orange peel and run? Sure would hate to strip everything if I don't have to. Really doesn't look that bad but I had a little time involved to start all over. How long should I let clear cure before attempting to wet sand or polish out. Can said 48 hrs at 50% humidity. Thanks in advance.. |
| Wow, that sucks! It is probably a chemical reaction between the Testor's Master Modeler and he clear coat. I did not clear coat mine, but had a similar thing happen on an AK stock I painted than tried to clear coat. I had to take JASCO and strip it down and re-do it. |

Thanks in advance.. That testors is sensitive. I havent tried to clear coat mine yet, but the faux underneath had been clear coated and I did notice a little orange peel and cracks in a area where i laid the clear on too thick. The best way to avoid that is to spray super fine mist coats with dry time between until its covered. |
