| Do you get cases in the face? I'm considering buying a Les Baer w/o the FA but not sure about the shell deflector. |
| I'm a lefty and I shoot a lot. It can and will happen but only when not expecting it. I made a BS deflector that has eliminated problem totally I believe. Been hit with 4 or 5 in probably 8K rds through slicksides. They can be a little warm but I wouldn't and haven't let it slow me down any. Can be a little alarming though. Have had rds also bounce off right arm and deflect back into face with an A-2 upper but arm was in the way for some odd reason. Guess I was re-inventing the wheel while shooting. Earlier post tells of one going down a shirt and into britches. That would have been funny to watch. Hot (fire) ants in the pants. |

Thanks, this helps. If you have a problem with brass hitting you, I can lend you my USGI snap in shell deflector I keep for my left handed daughter. That way you can try it and see if you like it before you spend the money. Bill Ricca (a really great guy) sells them for $15. They were original designed for 22 LR subcaliber devices. Let me know |
| There have also been posts in the past on how to make your shells eject at the 2 o'clock position.Has to do with removing 1 or more coils off the ejector spring,,and someone also posted how to file the tip of the ejector as well. The follow up reports all said the brass was tossed out between 2 and 3 o'clock.Maybe someone with better search fu can pull those posts out of the archives.I never have luck with that. |
