This is my idea, Scott Andrey made it for me. It feels like a different weapon. That ugly bent flatbar stock botherd me since day one. Man thats nice. great job man! |
| The model 76 has been one of my favorites every since I saw 'The Omega Man' starring Charleton Heston. Basically a slightly updated Swedish K. Great weapon IMO. There were some RT's that used them IIRC - Swedish K's being shut off from export by the Swedish gov't during Vietnam. I have a Plainfield M1 carbine with the 'paratrooper' stock (a misnomer) and I really like it strangely enough, although I'm considering grinding another notch in the wire for a shorter setting. A lot of people don't get that the full weight of the recoil shouldn't be taken on the stock, but by the hands. I just got the M1 out of hock - think I need to buy some ammo and go shoot it! The wire stock is a natural on the 76 - looks great. |

The notches are in the wrong places. I need to move them backwards 2 inches. After I do that, the old notches are going to filled in.
Anyone who shoots a mod76, How much eye relief do you like? Mines about the same as nose to CH on an M16, when I use them .
This thing needs to work as well for others as it does me. |
