Melancholy day for me. My father was KIA Vietnam 1967. I was 5.5 years old. I remember him. My younger brother does not remember his father. He was the better for it.

I am also not a father to humans. I have two wonderful male Golden Retrievers named Evans and Divot. They are my family.

I will be glad when this day is behind me.

Yes, and Happy Father's Day to you all!
I've spent my Father's Day doing "Honey Do's" after church.
I don't mind, I finally had the time to myself to get some stuff done.
My wife is very happy too!

I'm happy to be a father of three too. (two humans and one canine)

Thanks, I'm the father of one and he is the father of two......I guess that makes me an old fart.

This morning I slept in a bit (8:30 or so) and when I got up the wife was making me breakfast. We were supposed to go to my son's house for a cook out but, he got called into work so we had to postpone the cook out. The wife asked "well, what do you want to do now?" I said "lets go for a motorcycle ride." I called my buddy and asked if he and his wife wanted to go riding and he said sure. Well, to make a long story short we got about 48 miles from home, we were riding along on a busy two lane road, actually it's and old highway, and all of a sudden my bike started handling strange. In the time it took me to safely pull off the road the rear tire was completely flat. My buddy and his wife headed back to the last town we had gone through, about 10 miles back, and picked up a can of Fix-A-Flat. We started putting in the Fix-A-Flat and it started running out as fast as we put it in. We made a few phone calls to see if we could find someone with a trailer that could come pick us up but, no luck. It was decided that I would take my buddys bike and run home, all 48 miles, and pick up my trailer and then head back to pick up my bike. I have to admit that the bike was a bit of a handfull to ride with the tire going flat. I guess I can't complane too much, I've been riding motorcycles for 32 years and this is the first time I've ever had a flat. The worst thing is that motorcycle tires are expencive and I just put new tires on this spring.
