An auction was ending for a rifle that had this stock on it, I wanted to know anyone thought it was aluminum as that would have affected my bid. Didn't win it.

Looks aluminum to me.  A quick way to tell is the lack of reinforcement lines between the tube & the squared part below - plastic stocks have 'em, Al stocks don't.  Also looks like a "B" on the left side - another good sign of aluminium.

Not all plastic stocks have the reenforcement ribs...

but i've never seen the small or large B on the side of any stock other than an aluminum collapsible stock.

...and I stand corrected.  Let me clarify that generally the plastic ones have the reinforcements.

Thanks everyone for the education! For future reference, how much should I give for one of those aluminum stocks if I wanted to buy one?

the stock body usually goes for $75-$125 depending on condition and finish.  the essential arms ones with the shiny coating to replicate the colts usually sell on the higher end.  figure another $50 for hardware.

original colt sets are running $300 and up for the assembly.
