$189.50 for a SP1? That's kind of pricey.

It was used starting in 1964 after a corporate reorganization.  Not sure how late it was in use, but it could have been until the Firearms Division was purchased by CF Holding Corporation in 1989.

ETA:  The ad isn't dated, but if it was 1964, that price is equivalent to $1337.52 in 2010 dollars.  The improved 3-prong would be consistent with it being 1964-67.  The 1967 equivalent price would be $1241.41.

In that case, hey ArmaliteM15A2b, I'll sell mine for equivalent dollars.

It is conspicuously close to the Diemaco logo isn't it?

I always think of the Colt Delta logo, when this old advertisement pops up.

The Colt Industries logo is supposedly inspired by a machine tool or gear (see here, 1964).  I don't know much about Diemaco's corporate history but if they came into being specifically to make the C7 then it's possible the likeness could be intentional.
