I just recently got a Colt SP-1 from 1976. I have posted about it before I found the retro forum and broke some rules so I humbly apologize. Here are some pic's I've taken for ya'll to drool over http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n623/mhodge6/utf-8BSU1HMDAxNDQtMjAxMDEyMTAtMjEzMC5qcGc.jpg http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n623/mhodge6/utf-8BSU1HMDAxMzktMjAxMDEyMTAtMjEyNS5qcGc.jpg http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n623/mhodge6/utf-8BSU1HMDAxNDAtMjAxMDEyMTAtMjEyNy5qcGc.jpg http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n623/mhodge6/utf-8BSU1HMDAxMzctMjAxMDEyMTAtMjEyNC5qcGc.jpg http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n623/mhodge6/utf-8BSU1HMDAxNDUtMjAxMDEyMTAtMjEzMS5qcGc.jpg http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n623/mhodge6/utf-8BSU1HMDAxNDMtMjAxMDEyMTAtMjEyOS5qcGc.jpg |
| There was a white, diamond shaped patch of paint or something. It was a little bubbled up and flakes off with a fingernail. on the left side of the stock was a diamond shaped piece of masking tape but had no writing or numbers on any of it. I got it as payment for some work for a friend, his father in law passed away and he and some other family inherited a bunch of guns. |

There's something nicely patriotic about a black rifle from the bicentennial!
(I'm surprised it wasn't covered in red, white & blue stars and stripes like everything else produced that year!) Welcome to retroland. Nice SP-1. Run a patch or two through the barrel, go shoot it and have some fun. Colt's are sweet and yours appears to be in real nice shape. Thanks for sharing. |
