I'm in the process of building a New York legal retro carbine for my Wife's birthday. A clone of the Colt 651. I'm looking for a muzzle brake that would not look too out of place. I looked at the EGW but had some issues with two of those in the past.
45 Bravo used to make a faux 3 prong, but he's out of pocket at the moment. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance. |

That one is interesting. The one 45Bravo had was just closed off on the sides. I can get a photo of it later tonight. I'm assuming the one on the right, is what you're talking about http://s149.photobucket.com/albums/s71/45Bravo/MVC-730S.jpg Yes that's it. I know it's not a brake per say, but keeps the look. |

I had given some thought to one of the 45B's fake 3 prongs, but figured if I have to have something on the end of the barrel I may as well have something that actually does....something
and I also like the fact that at certain angles the slots let some light through so it doesn't look so fake |

I'd love to know this also.. I'm sick of seeing that stupid A2 brake on my carbine, I wish I could get an xm177 style brake for it, whether its functional or not. The only thing is about an xm177 brake is I wonder if it might be considered a suppressor. |
