| Here is the scoop, I have an SP1 lower with a new flat top and a pre ban 1/9 H-bar. It is not exactly what I want, I don't want the 2 position Colt stock or the 16in H-bar with gas block sight combo. I do want the flat top however. Should I strip and sell the parts to fund my Varmint style build keeping my upper, since I don't have the SP upper, or sell the entire thing and build the one I want? The only reason I don't just build off of the lower I have is I would feel bad painting it camo knowing there are so many people looking for them. |

| It's your call. Colt 2 pos carbine stock should have value. Colt SP-1 carbine lower should have value. They ain't making no more of them. You might regret the sale later in life. Think I'd just kill me some varmits with what I have, or keep it, and build a different lower for $200. Upper should be small pin anyway. Should be easy with all the gun dealers that are in Ohio. Most any AR will outshoot the shooter. You would sure look cool busting coyotes with that rig or put an A-1 stock on it, camo tape, and a little trigger work for cheap, way less than $100 and stash the high dollar stock. My fluted 16" Hbar is the most accuate semi auto rifle I own within 300 yards. Shooting much farther than that and I'm thinkin a bolt gun anyway, but I'm old. |
