Cool gun, but I have to ask, what is the allure of having an early SP1?  I used to have a 1966 that to me wasn't as good as the newer ones with chrome bore etc.  Is it just a collector thing?

I doubt a 64 Corvette is as "good" a 94 Corvette, but I'd much rather have a 64.  It's kinda like; If you have to ask, there's no way to explain it to someone.

I seen that yesterday. Too bad his other pictures don't work.

It is just a collector thing for me, I have a 1965 SP1 & would like to have a earlier model, like the one linked in this thread. I just like all the very early stuff better for some reason, which is why most my Retro builds are geared towards the "very early" models, like my 601,602, XM16E1, 604, & 605.
