I bought an NDS-16A1 in the white, and will get it anodized in XM gray, but I can't find an in the white charging handle.  What can I do?

You could re-anodize an existing charging handle in XM grey.

You will notice Colt grey CH's have a more rounded look to them. The new black CH's that are abundantly available are more boxy or square looking. For my 607 build (that I will post pics on in a few minutes) I used a dremel with grinder attachment, then a needle file to round the top part of a black handle. After I got it the way I wanted it, I sent it off with the rest of the 607 parts to Victor at US anodizing. It came back looking amazing! Just like a brand new original Colt Grey CH...I will see if I can get a detailed pic posted....

Here is a comparison of a Colt CH, New black CH, and my modded black re-anodized by US Anod. CH. My Kodak easyshare 8mp camera blows chunks. It doesn't even have a macro setting. So pardon the bad pics...

Colt on top, New black in middle, my mod on bottom (notice how the Colt doesn't have the flare towards the bottom)

New Black on top, my modded on bottom they both started out looking the same (try to see the angled top edge on the black)
