I'm AR 10 illiterate! That's a beauty!! I like how the bolt catch is recessed? back,,aahh like the roll pin must be in a slot milled from the top of the receiver down??Its just a friction fit piece I think. http://www.adcofirearms.com/junkpics/ar10mc.jpg later they add a drop in block that was pinned in place. http://www.adcofirearms.com/junkpics/ar10mc2.jpg Interesting..I know a while back a member posted a project he was doing and actually modded his lower to do this..Were there any actual Colt M16s made this way? |

Can we see it shoot on FA? Its brutal to shoot on FA. Its not too hard to hold on target, but it kicks like hell. There's no weighted buffer in it and it just drives right into your shoulder. I may have to visit Slash and have him make a real buffer for it. mule kicking |

I've already managed to shake it once (I was longing for an AR-10B not too long ago), but I don't think I'll be able to a second time. |
| I'm with you. I'm pretty sure an AR10 is next on the list for me. A modern made one though. I would hate to see the price tag on an oldie but goodie like that beast. I would love to have a chance to own an original like that with the cool charging handle. What a beautiful piece. BD |

I was ready to jump on this one this week (thought it would be a great rackmate for my semi-auto Port.) until it finally sunk in that it's a dealer sample. Damned ridiculous laws if you ask me.
Out of curiosity, do you know what your Sudanese weighs? |

The change in the location of the firing modes is described in The Black Rifle (p. 66). The first AR-15s had the same selector positions that the AR-10 had. That first batch of AR-15s was the subject of a March 1958 Infantry Board field test. Part of the test involved soldiers carrying them through an assault course and, with the original selector positions, it was discovered that the selector could be inadvertantly switched to "AUTO" while the rifle was being dragged along the ground by its barrel. Stoner was directed to correct it, so he modified the change lever positions to be SAFE-SEMI-AUTO. |
