Does anyone have an idea as to whether or not a re-anodizing would effect the value of my SP1?

Thanks,

Hal

Kind of hard to tell without pictures.
As a collectible the original finish (even it not perfect) is preferred.
But if the original finish is in very bad shape then re-anodizing might improve value.

What Squirrel said, plus do you ever plan on selling it? If you never plan on selling it & want it to look new (depending on the condition of it now) who cares about the value. If your gonna sell it sometime I would leave it as is, unless it is in really bad shape.

We all love pictures, so post away.

I've had stuff reanodized and reblued and reparked even when I knew it would lower the value.  I like to use my stuff, and I like it to look good.  Of course, I usually buy crappy stuff anyway...

No, actually, the gun is basicly a flawless, low round count,  72' Model. It has a couple of minor spots on the left side of the upper that look like they are possibly
problems in the original alloy. BC Aluminum black covers them but then creates a halo. Of course, being anally retentive, they are all I see. I don't plan on selling the rifle, so my inclination is to leave it as and let my kids worry about it when I die.

As soon as I figure out how to post some pics I'll do that and also pics of my A2.

Thanks,

Hal
