Where is everybody?? Has anyone ever seen one like this? Junk or treasure??!! I've shown it to a few people and I can't find any info on it.

Where did it come from?
What was it taken off of?
It could be super rare, or it could be a no name chinese mfg part.
I have no idea...

No info here either.  It seems like the weld springs are one of the less studied parts, for lack of a better word.

I have not seen one such piece come off of any Colt uppers, not to say it is not Colt, it sure does look retro anyway!

My Dad gave it to me several years ago and said it was "early". I asked him about it this morning and he doesn't remember!!! At the least, it's unique!! Feel free to pass on the pics to anyone you think may know something about it. I'm very curious now.
