I thought you might enjoy seeing this one also. I can't find a date on it other than on the inside cover is a handwritten signature and date of 1978. The second picture shows all very early features...I thought it was cool!!

I think that's a mid 70's' ish manual.

Hey Ashley,  I've been buying parts from you for several years in FWB, Pcola.  Will you be having any retro stuff at the shows?

You don't think it's any earlier than that with the triangle charging handle, edgewater buffer, etc. shown?

Thanks, and I do appreciate the return business!!! It keeps me in business!! I miss doing the shows near the coast. Since I moved to Birmingham it's a little too far for me to drive now. Dad still does them occasionally. Although he's not as sweet as I am

I don't have enough of any of it to bring to shows to sell. The small quantity of stuff I have is just what I have been buying and sticking in a box. I've just decided to take it out and play with it! Really enjoying learning more about it and putting it all together.

There should be a date in the lower left corner of the back cover. Mine is dated 11-72, it shows the older parts as well.

Well I wondered where you'd been.  I looked for your table every show down here.  Welcome to the forum and hope you build up some nice retro rifles.

Thanks Hal, it's nice to be missed at the shows and welcomed here!! I'm having fun! I did come back down there and do about a year's worth of shows, but at the time I was dating someone down there so I had some incentive for the long travel time!! You can always call or email if you need something, we still do shows and mail order.

That is the second SP1 manual.  The first one says "Commanche" and not "sporter".  They probably used many of the same illustrations.
