Hello
I have 2 sp-1's in great shape. they have been stored for years and have not been fired in maybe 20 years or more. They are 1976 and 1977 year. I am not a collector but do appreciate those who are. I am thinking of selling these or trading for new ar-15's that we can use. I know what the blue book on these is but was wondering there is any interest here in these guns. Please tell me about them heck you might even talk me into keeping them. I welcome all comments good and bad. I am really here to learn more than anything. |

Yep, there is interest here. They were the first ARs available to the general public.
The Sp1 data base is located here in the Retro forum. I know the data base has some pics, but I would like to see a SP1 only pic thread. [ETA] Oh, and WELCOME to the board!

Both of Your SP1s are worth a minimum of $1000 CASH ( more if in excellent condition.) (check the auction sites ) And MORE if one is a carbine or you have boxes and accessories. DO NOT TRADE THEM - you will most likely lose your ass
If you shop around you might get a good deal buying two new ARs from a big store. OH YEAH - we wouldn't mind seeing pictures....... . |
