Here is my latest work in progress, I'm calling it " Hard Times Truck Gun " . That's a damaged Colt XM-16E1 upper sitting on a Superior Arms A-2 Lower, I'm building this one from left over parts, I'm going to repair that upper before I fire it, maybe, the bolt carrier group seems to slide ok even with the upper receiver missing metal below the port door area, I need to weld the metal back on. I have all the parts for the upper, but I'm going to wait until I get it repaired before I put them on. I still need a barrel for it, those are quite pricey these days!

Great project! How'd you manage to bust the upper? Sounds like an opportunity for a story.

I bought it that way, I have the missing metal for it, it looked like someone tried to demill it!

I know the economy is bad, but is this what it has come to?

Or, it's the upper from that "kaboom" video where the guy kept forcing the rounds in the chamber.
