Hey guys I need some help.

I just pressed a slug of aluminum in an SP1 front lug and machined it out to the correct dimensions to take a .250 pin. When cut out to .250 there is no bushing material left at the upper front side. The bushing is like a 3/4 moon. The upper is a beautiful fit on all my lowers, but it is snug as it opens, the rear lug corner rubs on the lower.

I took the front to rear 6.375 from the center of the rear hole, and found the top to bottom (.258) by measuring a bunch of my uppers.

I guess I can make another bushing and move the hole down and back, but I hate to open the clearance between the upper and lower.

Any idea what the thinnest dimension is on a commercial offset bushing?.

This has me flummoxed because when I did my last one there was much more material around the bushing, the holes aren't near as offset.

Any ideas???

Save yourself the aggravation and buy the steel bushing that is made for the Lg hole upper- it is $5 at the Harriburg show or at the VF show.
The trick to use when installing those is rubber cement (temporarliy) until you find the correct placement then use JB Weld to keep it in place forever.

I'm at work until 5:15am, but if your dead set on what the min/max dimensions are and the question is still unanswerer, I've got one that I can mic out down to 1/1000" when I get home in the morn.

I'd appreciate that info. I don't mind the aggravation, I'd just like to get this done and I want it a press fit because I'm c'boring the other side for a 601 pin.

Smallest portion of the eccentric = .0130" thick
As you know, that's pretty damn thin...  And as I just found out, I need to buy three more steel bushings, lol.  I found a few more large-hole uppers I need to mod.

Also, from what I've been able to determine, the thinnest portion should sit at approximately 315 degrees (10:30 position) when viewed from the left side of the receiver.
