I have three or four front sight posts that I never used. They are round. I bought them as USGI/Colt surplus. Are these common on new manufactured rifles, or are they retro worthy? Anything special about them? ETA: Seems to have a light grey finish and 5 adjustments |

One of the A2 upgrades was a switch to square 4 notch front sight posts. Most AR manufacturers supply only the square 4 notch posts. So, yes. Your front sight posts are retro worthy. On that note, if you can spare one...

They are extremely dangerous to have in such large quantities. They have retronium in them! You are almost to a critical mass.
For safety's sake, get them wrapped with a rifle or ship them to one of us for proper disposal! The front sight base provides enough shielding. Humor aside, I'd swap you a 4-notch square post for one of your 5-notch round posts. |
