I have three or four front sight posts that I never used. They are round. I bought them as USGI/Colt surplus. Are these common on new manufactured rifles, or are they retro worthy? Anything special about them? ETA: Seems to have a light grey finish and 5 adjustments |

One of the A2 upgrades was a switch to square 4 notch front sight posts. Most AR manufacturers supply only the square 4 notch posts. So, yes. Your front sight posts are retro worthy. On that note, if you can spare one... DSBock |

They are extremely dangerous to have in such large quantities. They have retronium in them! You are almost to a critical mass.
For safety's sake, get them wrapped with a rifle or ship them to one of us for proper disposal! The front sight base provides enough shielding. Humor aside, I'd swap you a 4-notch square post for one of your 5-notch round posts. |
