I just got a few misc lower parts from Sherluk today - among them was a bolt catch/release. Anyone ever see one like this? It's completely flat on the front, and serrated over the entire thing. It reminds me a little of a 601 part, but the whole thing is straight instead of tapered, and serrated completely as I said. Oh, and it's grey. Sorry for the poor quality pic.

Weird. I'll be interested to see if anyone knows anything about that.

I was thinking about ordering some things from Sherluk. Their site actually shows that they have some barrels in stock, but I don't know how long it'd take them to ship. How long it take from order to receipt for you?

About 10 days according to their order - Took about three weeks start to finish - slower than usual, but considering that they actually filled the order in 3 weeks and they are as slammed as anyone else, I'm not complaining. I bought all the little minor stuff like extra pins, springs and detents that I was missing as I already had some lower parts. They have LPKs for I believe, $59.95 - I might buy one from them.

They didn't charge my card until they filled the order. 1/2 I ordered it, 1/12 they filled the order, received the parts today, 1/16. I emailed them and they had no record of the order, so I sent them a copy and they found it and filled it a few days later. I get the feeling from talking to them on the phone that they are tearing their hair out like everyone else.

I believe that's a recent Armalite made part

Recent Colt production??

IIRC I've seen some of these pictured for sale somewhere and listed as the latest or a recent Colt product.

YMMV

Crackedcornish - that looks like it. Interesting upper on that rifle - fluted? Just WTH is that? I see it's a 5.56 M15, but I've never seen a fluted upper like that. Pretty cool.

As they used to say in Oregon - 'That's slicker than Owl snot on a wet bridge.' I was never quite sure what that meant, but I heard it from a few different people. Reminds me of an FAL - or in this case, an FNC.

Same thing I was thinking when I read (Cause my dial-up connection had not loaded the picture yet.) the description.

Isn't that an AR10 bolt release?

ETA: I'm sure it's an AR10 release. Many of the lower parts are common between the two.

I put 2 A2's together last summer using Armalite LPK's in both.  Thats the exact same bolt catch.

That is un-f**king-believably ugly

At least the DPMS Low-Pro is smooth.
