In the past, everything I've had done was in pre-ban gray as will parts I will be sending along fairly soon.  Question is this.....is the XM gray a lighter color?  appears so by comparing my finished pieces to photos on US ano's website but I'd like to know for sure.  I will be getting a 2-pos buffer tube done and I think it should be a little lighter in color.

I don't know how well you can evaluate the match from these photos, but here's what I believe is an original Colt grey upper with a US Anodizing XM gray lower:

Doesn't really appear much different than their pre-ban gray.  I emnailed US Ano days ago and have yet to receive a response.  Rather normal actually....

Here's a pic of some later A1 uppers from CDNN with the Nodak lowers.  There is only the slightest of difference.

The bottom upper (non-CDNN) is like new but it is a darker color than the others.

How did I miss that.....oh well.  After looking at the last one I had done and comparing it with an original Colt gray, I had decided that the pre-ban gray was lighter.  The color chart you posted confirms it - thanks.  I like the pre-ban gray better although XM gray would be more appropriate for an XM177E2 build.
