Here's some of my Gen 2 stocks and I wanted to post some pics of the markings and show some variations. Markings on the stock body under the latch are: 1 NN - rounded sling loop 2 NN - angled sling loop no markings - rounded sling loop, stock body extends past latch a little on the bottom  Markings on 1 NN  Markings on 2 NN (NN is light)  Markings on the latch itself, this is off the 1 NN stock body, it has NN and then 3  Markings on the latch itself, this is off the non marked stock body, it has Newton New Haven and then 3  Is there a place where these variations are documented? |
+1, but my latch has the Newton New Haven marking & a 1. |
And my 1976 uilt SP1 has absolutely no markings on the body or the latch  I think I feel deprived.

Better than that, I class 3d it a year after I bought it. Made an XM177E2 clone out of it at the time, and recently built an Israeli carbine profile upper to use, when I want to shoot something heavier than 55 grain. With the way select fire stuff is skyrocketing, I hope to be asble to pay for my 6th graders college education in a few years.
