That's pretty cool! I like the look of the rear cap used for cut down HGs though.

I would like to see them on.

Thanks a million for posting this info, I immediately ordered a set ,and they are shipping them tomorrow. They are just what I needed for a Carbine project I was fiddling with.

Wonder if they could make us some 601 HGs? (If in fact they are making them, not just a supplier.)

Wow, those look really good.

Nice price.
I haven't committed to building a 607, but it is getting harder to resist all the time.

I'm pretty sure their Tony's.
He had a table at the Indy 1500 gun show over this last  weekend.
Had a bunch of them there. $30.00 a set.
Very good fit and finish.
If I'd had a few extra bucks I'd have picked up a set just to have.

That is so cool.  I have a set of the ones with endcaps, but don't like them...

This design will definetely be easier to install/remove.

If only the front end were slotted or designed to work with a standard round front cap kind of like the M16A2 round handguard front end...it would be nice to swap handguards at will!

At least PK makes for an easy to reach source for these!

These look really cool! While they aren't exact reproductions of the 607, they certainly have retro appeal and they'll be a lot easier to install. I know I've bled on the last two sets of 607 handguards I made. I'll bet I could install a set of these without the use of bandaids.

I ordered too.  The picture looks good, and you can't beat the price.

I'll be using on a "Bubbaguns" barrel I recently purchased.

Wasn't somebody working on a set that fit the standard round end cap? I thought I read something on it here.

I guess I'll never finish my 601.

I guess I'll be in the market for a couple more matte finished 607 stocks!

I just paid through the teeth for a set of Tom's HGs - now you post this. Oh well, life's a bitch huh?

ETA - I noticed that they are setup to work with a normal slipring assy - while the originals were cut down A1 HGs. Guess I'll be 'correct' anyway, but man, that's a great, simple way to do it. Probably will buy a pair myself.

Why do I do this?

Got a set coming, although their destiny is unplanned and unknown. I guess I'll let'em sit in the dark with the other spare parts and see what hatches.

I was the one who posted it.  Member USGuns was suposed to be brining them to market, but my gut tells me the project may have fallen through.

[ETA]  PKFirearms has resopnded to my question abtou a set that can use the round cap, and they said 'no pictures yet, but we are working on it.'

Got an e-mail that said my set was shipped yesterday.  Can't wait to get them.  I tried to mold a set of shorties that would work with a round handguard cap, but I could not get set that looked right.  I'm not sure it can be done.  I guess we'll see.

The protoype USguns showed me looked great and worked with the front cap.  It also had the rear XM607 traingle type retaining rign modled in to the hanguards so from 5 feet it looked totally correct.

But the rear ring doesn't bother me so much- I found 'real' XM607 style handguards jsut wiggle too much, I'll just wait for PK to get the roudn front handguard version out and then be happy.

Actaully in the orignal thread it was I that said an 'unnamed member' was workign on them.  That unnamed member was USGuns, but I think his project may have stalled out.

In any event, we'll have round handguard cap compatible carbine trinagle handguards (say *that* ten times fast!) in the near future, knock on wood.

Got my handguards yesterday.  I just ordered another.  They are great!!  They fit tight and firm.  No wiggle.  For this price, I am willing to forego the original rear end cap.

Sounds great! I have a set from M1S but would have to trash my pinned on fake moderator to change out the front cap. I'll just wait too then.
