| These look really cool! While they aren't exact reproductions of the 607, they certainly have retro appeal and they'll be a lot easier to install. I know I've bled on the last two sets of 607 handguards I made. I'll bet I could install a set of these without the use of bandaids. |

I just paid through the teeth for a set of Tom's HGs - ETA - I noticed that they are setup to work with a normal slipring assy - while the originals were cut down A1 HGs. Guess I'll be 'correct' anyway, but man, that's a great, simple way to do it. Probably will buy a pair myself. |
I was the one who posted it. Member USGuns was suposed to be brining them to market, but my gut tells me the project may have fallen through. [ETA] PKFirearms has resopnded to my question abtou a set that can use the round cap, and they said 'no pictures yet, but we are working on it.' |
The protoype USguns showed me looked great and worked with the front cap. It also had the rear XM607 traingle type retaining rign modled in to the hanguards so from 5 feet it looked totally correct. But the rear ring doesn't bother me so much- I found 'real' XM607 style handguards jsut wiggle too much, I'll just wait for PK to get the roudn front handguard version out and then be happy. |
PK said they are working on it the original thread. |
Actaully in the orignal thread it was I that said an 'unnamed member' was workign on them. That unnamed member was USGuns, but I think his project may have stalled out. In any event, we'll have round handguard cap compatible carbine trinagle handguards (say *that* ten times fast!) in the near future, knock on wood. |
Sounds great! I have a set from M1S but would have to trash my pinned on fake moderator to change out the front cap. I'll just wait too then. |
