Will do my best in the morning...it will only be with a tape...not a metal worker so have no pro measuring devices... I can tell you it is very light and the walls seem very thin...made from alum. I think... it looks like two peices but they are bonded together I think... |

Now that there are at least two of these out there, it sounds like one of our trusted repro machinists needs to borrow one so the rest of us can have one! It would be great if everyone could have a repro of these awesome and rare originals! Nice looking parts guys, I'm green with envy! Scott |

M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, ZB26, ZB30, the Bren gun I believe (same as ZB30 different caliber different army  ) I can't think of any other blunderbusses right now as late as it is, but I know there are more - oh, the Russians liked them a lot - used them on the DP28 and some AA guns I believe, as did the Germans and I think the Italians used some on their Breda MGs, as did the Japanese (since they copied the Bredas and ZB26 design but changed it a bit.) The ZB-26/30 FHs are particularly cool IMO. Amazing that the same weapon fought on both sides of WWII, and were respected equally by both sides. Sorry to get OT. That is a really nice find!ETA to OP: Now you are totally screwed, as you now have to build a 608 clone! (At least I would have to...) |
That's what it looks like. Spun aluminum cone pressed on a machined steel sleeve (threaded). Just about everybody used that flaming bomb logo. I've seen it before, lately. Maybe one of our Industry Partners, those guys up in the title bar above. I click on them periodically, even if I'm not looking to buy anything. They pay for this Forum. This whole site, actually. I feel it's the least I can do to show them I appreciate their support.

I actually saw one for sale on ebay a few weeks ago - it is basically the entire base of the seat - the ejection seat goes on top. This was supposedly from an F105, and according to the listing, held the survival kit. It was certainly big enough to hold a broken down carbine as well as other stuff. |

Hehe, you'd probably end up with a whole retro ejection seat, not just the case. |

UXB, do you have pics of the case the 608 was put in? Morg308 an I have been talking about this and he showed me an E-bay auction for this They should have come in a compact "gun box" solely for the 608 and 2 mags.. Am I thinking of something else? |
