Does the 602 upper have the same features as the 601?
Like the angled cuts on the back of the upper?
Hole for the hinge spring?
No slag on the inside of the carry handle, etc?
I know the 'R' arrow was stamped in the carry handle, and the standard windage disk used?
Anyone have a clear picture of the 602 windage markings they could post?
Thanks, Ron

Mine has all of the features you mentioned except the hinge spring hole. Mine also came with a 601 style rear sight wheel. I would imagine there was some overlap period for all of these features and parts.

On the 602 the arrow for the windage knob is recessed.

The answer is yes and no.

It seems that early 602 uppers were the same as 601s except the stamped arrow and R and the numbered windage wheel. All the other 601 features are there: Smooth inside carry handle, hole for end of port door spring, angled cuts over charging handle.

Later 602 uppers are different. They still have the stamped rear sight features, but now are rounded over the charging handle, have forge flash inside the carry handle and no hole for port door spring end. I believe the later ones also use the current T- shape charging handle and have the rectangular pad on the ejection port door instead of the early square pad.
They look like this one:
