Whups! My mistake - it's only $2295...

Well, maybe if I sell my 1973 Honda CL450...and...I wonder how much a pint of blood is getting these days??? Richard Zednick lost 5 pints when he got his throat slashed by a hockey skate...and he's expected to make a full recovery...so I could spare that much...

...Boy...With that Economic Incentive Check getting closer and closer...I bet some here are giving that brand new, never fired, still in wrapper DOE upper serious thought...

I looked through TBR 1 but didn't see anything...The DOE must have come out after the first book was published...Maybe in TBR 2???

TBRII has what you seek.

What page? The only pics I could find of it were of the right side.

Perhaps we could get someone who has a real DOE 633 to post a pic...

Hmmmm...Who do we know that has an actual full-auto 633???

(They already posted a pic of the right side)

Ya know, I'm thinking that with a Spud lower and a 607 stock, and 5.56 not 9mm, this thing would look The Bomb!!!

Anybody good with photoshop???

(Hmmmm...I wonder if that's what VAAR is thinking...)

Not me... that's just a RO633DC upper.  True complete RO633HB guns are all post '86 samples.

And, after thinking more about it, I believe it was either the 'Machine Gun Dealers Bible' or, SARs guide to the Colt M16 series that has the left side photo.

Oh. I thought you had one.

Well, here's my sad mockup of a DOE 607...

I dunno...Maybe a 5.56mm with 6" bbl and cutdown handguards...

Fireball guaranteed!!!

Edited to more closely resemble an early 5.56mm receiver...

Hmmmm...I'm going to have to print this booger out and hang it on my wall for a while...like until my Economic Incentive Check gets here...

TBR II only has the pic of a 635, 9mm's are covered in Chapter 5:

Not sure if the markings would have been the same?

Mon Capitan -

Those three marks that look like they might be 3/32" roll pins in the magwell...is that how the Colt 9mm magazine adapter was attached??? Pinned in place???

To the best of my knowledge the 633 is roll marked the same as the 635 shown above.

And yes, the "three marks" are the roll pins that retain the adapter block(s). And IIRC, some of very early receivers only used two pins.

I don't know for sure, but I would highly doubt it.  I would imagine they were thrown on the 635 lower, and thrown in a box.  Does the TBR II mention how many 633's were actually manufactured as a complete firearm?  I was under the impression the vast majority, if not all, were conversion kits consisting of mag blocks, magazines, upper, bolt, and charging handle.

Does anyone recall the thread where one of our illustrious members posted measurements of the DOE front sight??? I'd like to look at that thread...

Postino,

Tell you what I have a front sight assy sitting in my private collection. Though it isn't for sale, I do plan to blueprint it and make parts when I get another shop to work from.

Wow that does look cool! Makes me wish I could own full auto. Oh and also makes me wish I still had a 607 stock!
