This fella apparently has not checked the current market value of retro uppers. I'd hate to see someone pay this much and start an ugly trend. I could see paying a thousand though.

I didn't even follow the link & I know what your talking about. I seen it yesterday on GB, I think it is also posted in the EE but w/o pictures.

IMO he has about $800 worth of parts there, since he is including BCGs, not $1,500. He's looking for a sucker.

ETA: Made your link hot.

Thanks for heating up the link. Why does it seem the real goofballs end up with the nice stuff, not so it can be built into a proper rifle, but to try to screw someone. It's funny how it works, but I don't hear anyone laughing.

Wow, how crazy, there is one under 500 for sale now on the board that looks as good as that one.

I didn't know any actual SP1s were actually sold with A1-type uppers w/ forward assist.  Did this happen with some later ones?

Wonder if that is the same 37NAU that posts on here?

Sweet Jesus, Please don't let some sap buy those uppers at that ridiculous price and start vaulting the prices on retro parts even more than they have !

LOL, if someone buys those uppers at those price, it would mean I have about $10K in uppers in the workroom!

No.  No such thing as an SP1 with FA unless it is aftermarket.

Things are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it.  I wouldn't worry.

I agree!!!

They sure are some NICE uppers though.

Wow nobody noticed that that price is for 2 uppers that makes it like 750 each...

Not sure what youre complaining about.

I noticed.  Still too high for me!

Now if they were around $900 for the pair, these guys would have some company.

Those look like CDNN M-16A1 uppers with BCG's thrown on. Look at the CH on the top it is black. It comes down to $725 for the upper and stock, X2 of coarse. if they were all Colt and he paid what I did for my CDNN uppers, $575 each would be a fair price.

I'll bet this clown bought those things from CDNN awhile back. They were listing their A1 upper assys as "SP1".

"Anchor Harvey manufacture"?  I don't think so.

They must sell some good weed in AZ, cause he's been hitting it hard again!

They didn't sell the first time for $1500, so why not raise the price? He's up to a $1,850 starting bid now.

Actually, I have a large hole Colt C7 type upper receiver. It has Colt proofs and no F/A sear cutout. I was thinking of selling it shortly. I got it from Colt around Sept of 94'. I used to know some folks at Colt before they all retired.
