That's what I do.  Don't want the notch on the rt side, and Stag cuts them too deep to just grind smooth.

The old school selectors didn't have a notch on the other side, since there was no markings on the lower for that side.

Now *I've* got a question...

Why does your lower pic say "Restricted Military/Government/Law Enforcement/export use only"???...I don't see an auto sear hole...What makes that particular lower "Restricted etc"???...

People are already forgetting about the "AWB"??

How old are you and are you just getting into firearms.?

Read this first

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Assault_Weapons_Ban

Then read the short answer

The short answer is that weapon was made during the federal AWB and had “evil” features on it that a civilian was unable to have.   So the "Restricted" roll mark was added to mark it as being a civilian banned rifle.   Colt still places that roll mark on all its rifles even with the federal ban over.  You need not worry about the roll marks unless you live in a state with its own AWB.

I've been thinking about getting one marked:

For unoffical use only.
Non-Law Enforcment, Non-Military
For Fun Only

Heh, heh...I'm 58; been into weapons since I was 10 or 11...(If you can remember Capt Midnight/Jet Jackson, I'm from that era)...

I live in NYS; have never seen that inscription on any weapon...I'm also a member of the ESACA; we have 3+ shows a year; still have never seen that stamped on any weapon...(although I admit I've never looked)...

I've had no problems with  magazine caps or barrel lengths...

I guess you must live in one of those "repressive" states...
