| Im looking to put a XM177E1 type carbine together. Im looking for the correct upper,no brass deflector but one with the forward assist. I found the slabside on NDS and also the C7 type but not the one I described. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for any help. |

Place a "Want to Buy" ad in the Equipment Exchange. "Forged M16A1 upper receiver with forward assist, no Brunton Bump or brass deflector. Stripped or with teardrop forward assist, rear sight assembly, and A1 ejection port cover. Please email or IM with price and condition. Photos would be a big plus. Also advise as to any markings in the right-side carry handle recess or markings just forward of ejection port. Thanks in Advance, christop67" This should get you started.

Okay, if you are building an XM177E1 that is not the correct barrel or handguards. You need an 10" lightweight barrel with round handguards and flat handguard slipring. Like this.  You could buy that and resell the barrel assembly and have a fairly decent upper to start with. Are you sure it is an XM177E1 that you are wanting to replicate? |
