Hi all, I have tried Numrich, Sherluk and all of the other usual suspects and I can't seem to find ANY of the old style spanner carbine lock nuts. Anybody got a lead on these? Retro carbines just don't look right with castle nuts. |
 Ring on the left is original Colt, ring on the right is a Prairie River Arms. The PRA ring is darker, wider, holes are not drilled all the way through and does not have the staking groves, but is probably as close to the Colt as you will find. You can get it closer with some minor machining You can get the PRA ring at Brownells, Part # 704-015-012 $4.25, slightly less if you have a dealer account. |
