| I searched but as usual found nothing, does anyone know of places that sale complete retro lowers, so I can limit the online spending, this will help for my Dad, cousin, and me. |
|
I bought three Tactics and two NoDaks. Sold one of each to someone who is jumping into the retro thing - literally "lock, stock and barrel". Both work well but the NoDak has cleaner lines, has simpler markings and the color is consistent. The Tactics vary in color from gray to a bluish gray. The NoDak is definitely a better match for the old gray military uppers. But I use both and am happy with both brands. I do think the NoDak looks nicer. Edit: the "shelf' thing - the Tactics and NoDak have different "shelf" heights. I don't really know what a high versus low is but the Tactics can't take the standard Accuwedge. |

NoDak is "low-shelf" and will take an RDIAS. I am not a proponent of the Accu-Wedge as my experience has been it stresses the upper and lower and contributes to even more play between receivers once you have used it. After you remove it, the play is worse than before. |
