Has anyone gotten an XM177 barrel from AR15barrels where he has ground off the forging flash on the FSB? Whoever it was, can you please post a pic? I'd like to have him do this for me but I would like to see his work on this first. Thanks! B_D

yeah, I did not get the FSB milled/sanded. It is still forged, just wanted to show off some of randall's nice work it is a colt 16" 9mm lightweight profile bbl that was cut down and threaded 9/16" ( i think) modified Bushmaster XM177 flash hider, also rethreaded larger, blind pinned 45 bravo grenade ring flat slip ring Slickside A1 upper uses colt/RRA system bolt and mag block (see rimfire/pistol caliber forum) The "back" of the barrel on a 9mm is about 1"+ further back towards the ejection port. That allowed it look like alot closer to XM177 forward of the FSB, but still brings it out to 16.1" OAL when measured w/ a rod down the barrel I am working on doing another similar upper w/blocked gas tube I can use dedicated for 22lr |
