Ok, I live in Illinois and those of us that live here are only slightly better off than our fellow AR15 enthusiasts in California. We can't have SBRs. We can't have suppressors. We can't have full auto. I've got a DPMS A2 Carbine with a 16" barrel and I just didn't care for the looks too much so I decided to do something about it. I think we've all seen this scene of "Gary Gordon" in Blackhawk Down.  I really think this gun looks good and I decided to remodel my carbine in the "spirit of" this gun. I fashioned my own faux slip-over suppressor out of a discarded Brinkman flashlight.  Doc |

Nice! But I would change to an A2 grip and camo it in BHD color scheme.

Oh, if they weren't so anti-gun in Illinois (thank's Chicago), it would be real SBR with a real can but, as I posted before, we aren't allowed to have any real fun here. I have a flashlight, I just can't decide if I want to mount it. Of course, in the movie it looks like the light is duct taped on and I could mount mine that way too.
I've had the A2 grip on and off a dozen times. I really like the way this grip fits my hand and it isn't an exact copy so........ I do like the BHD camo but, I just can't bring myself to paint it. Doc |
