Bought it at a show. Looks to be Colt upper and barrel in unfired condition. Seller claimed they were off Sheriff Dept M16's that were that were decommissioned. Whatever What have I got here? Sorry for the f'ed up way the photos display

| Is the upper gray, or black? As nice as it is, I'm wondering if its not from CDNN. Do you care to disclose the price? His police story could be accurate. A lot of military A1s went to police departments and once they upgraded them they sold off the uppers. Nice find. |

Thanks Joe and Quib It is certainly more black then grey. I paid $100 for it. Am I correct that both the receiver and barrel markings are Colt? The seller claimed it was a standard barrel with 1:12 twist. Does this jive with what y'all see? Are the handguards original or reproductions. They are in too good of condition in my opinion to be original but I suppose its possible if it sat in a rack for many years
