Just asking if anyone has experience modifying new receivers to A1 specs... If so what is everyone useing to cover the safe fire marks on the passenger side of the receiver. I thought about useing a steel reenforced putty but was wondering if body filler would work better.

I wish I had a tig. I will not weld on a rifle ever again tho... (real bad experience)

maybe Steel bed - brownells sells this - the only issues you may have using a method like this is with the texture of the epoxy- bondo type filler bleeding through the molyresin-paint finish of the lower

I would strip the lower in the area first before useing anything on it, then prep and paint like I would a car.
