I just built a 9mm AR pistol. I'm having FTE in every magazine. Looking online I've found people recommending adjusting the ejector so it's up against the bolt carrier (up and to the left if you're looking at the bolt face).. Tried that with no greater success. The spent casings get turned to the right then are pushed forward along with the live round. I also noticed that the spent casings, when they are ejected, don't go very far at all. I don't know if that is typical in this caliber?
Any other ideas? Below is what I am working with: Spinta 9mm bcg KAK mag adapter KAK 5.5 oz 9mm buffer Plain ol' Carbine buffer spring |
| I have some springs and buffers on the way. Going to see if that helps at all. Maybe try some different/heavier ammo also. I have already tried adjusting the ejector. I think it is as high and close to the bolt as it can be without rubbing against it. I also contacted Spinta and if all else fails I can send the bolt back and they will take a look. |

Had some success today. Added the extra power spring and it ate up WWB ammo. Not a single FTE. Very exciting.
I did have issues with Remington 115 Hollow points though. Multiple FTE. Any thoughts as to why or any modifications I could make to fix it? I am hoping that I can try some different types of ammo with the same success as the Winchester. This thing is a lot of fun when it cycles properly! |
| Having a new issue now. After having a good day the other day with winchester i wanted to try some different ammo. Herters 115 gr and brow ing 147 grain. Without fail I would get a ftf on the last round in the mag. The round gets pushed up to the top of the receiver against the barrel. Any ideas? |

Try a regular carbine buffer. It sounds like slow bolt speed to me. Oil the bolt's sliders, and the bottom of the bolt that cocks the hammer. ETA lube. Most of the fixes for the PSA 9mm ejecting problems have been to use heavier buffers. The lighter ones are cycling too fast and causing the casings to jam. |
