I was trying to decide which buffer I wanted (how far forward I wanted my SB15) so I did a few size comparisons between the SB15 and a few other stocks.  Here is what I noted, in case others could benefit:

Overall Length:
M4 Stock: 6 3/4"
SB15: 6 15/16"
SOPMOD: 7 3/8"

As fas I could tell, the SB15 up against the rear of the receiver would be similar to my M4 stock up against my Troy single point adapter.

I'm still on the fence about which tube I'm going to get... I'm a fairly tall guy so I could benefit from the SB15 being pushed back a little ways, which the KAK tube would do for me.  On the other hand, I'm building a pistol because they're small.  I get along okay shooting my M4 with the stock collapsed in all the way.  Regardless, I hope this can help someone else that may be in the same predicament!

I used a guntec 'RE. I am 6' tall and prefer to have my collapsible stock at the 2 or 3 position. I set my Brace at an 11.5 lop. Works out great. But I may switch out to the KAK tube as my Pistol Brace has a hollow of about 1" in depth in the rear. Works great as a recoil reducer (don't wanna snap my clavicle with that 5.56 recoil) but I don't know if I can deal with the unfinished look.

The width is the greatest issue...plates + sb15 = nogo.

Gotta ask; at what point will you need the sb15 and the armor simultaneously?

Yes, if I need armor, the I am a pro, so I sure as hell ain't doing the sb15 route.

But that said I still can't pull trigger on this. Size isn't the issue, it's the stiffness of the flaps. Since I am tall, with tall face and neck, it's the tip is a normal stock that carries most of my pressure.

I had the same concerns but after holding one in my hand, I was relieved that the flaps are actually quite sturdy, especially when pressure is applied from the rear as it would be while shouldered and firing.

I shot an entire carbine class with a 12.5" Noveske Pistol with the brace.  I found that it was very comfortable.  I am waiting on a stamp for the build, but if you dont want to deal with a stamp the brace works great IMO.
