+1 for the Exile Machine cover, superior to regular foam sleeves. Also makes a great platform in which to mount a CAA side saddle.

I see those buffers that you put inside the foam tube, what can I use from home depot that won't melt?

How are you guys getting these covers on your buffer tubes?  I bought a set and they are no where close to going on my Spike's Tactical pistol buffer tube.

Whats the secret .. heat?   Cause these won't even stretch over the tube.

Nutz, I just bought a set. Hope I can get them on. I saw some said 7/8"  and some say 1". I'd imagine foam is no problem, the rubber type may be.

The one's I got were NOT foam ... they are rubber.  No where close to stretching.

like i posted above... "i bought the 1" ones"...  I sprayed some brake cleaner on the tube, it slipped on... about 2/3 the way...  i used a plastic dowel or something to lift the edge of the cover a bit and sprayed again and it slipped the rest of the way on....

someone suggested using the non-water hand sanitizer, it has alcohol and some ingredients to lubricate a bit...

I bought one of the rubber ones from Exile & used plain Windex to put it on over my Vltor A5 tube. I also put one of those silicon bumpers in the end to cushion it.

Super easy if you have an air compressor.  Just blast the air between the cover and tube and slide on.  Mine was effortless and took about 2 seconds.  Hairspray works great if you can get the cover started just a little, but air is easiest.

you can use a little Hand Sanitizer to coax them on, it lubes it just enough to slide on, then it evaporates...

Seen this thread and ordered 2 rra pistol buffer tubes and a couple tube covers from exile the next day they shipped and sent me a tracking #.
I am out of town working so it will be a while until I can install them but exile has been awesome so far.

F*##!!!

Just wasted $7 on this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ECHO-BLOWER-ES-2400-FOAM-GRIP-HANDLE-35121354330-/370829190990?ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:3160

It is freakin open at both ends, completely useless!!!

Can't see that in the picture.

I feel like I wasted my money on the aforementioned ebay grip handle foam thingies. They don't give but maybe an 1/8th on an inch and are no way near going on a buffer tube.
