| What does everyone prefer for a 10.5" build? Im looking at the phase 5 kit, but I've seen many other assemblies I like the looks of too. There is one out there that has a "fluted" tube, who manufacturers that? Buffer weight reccomendations? |
| I have built two pistol lowers with a kit from Palmetto Armory. They have the fluted looking tube that you are asking about. I belive rock river is the manufacturer of that buffer tube. Seems like I paid about 79-89 for the complete lower kit. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/build-kits/psa-pistol-lower-build-kit.html |

What do most kits use instead of a castle nut RR tubes dont need castle nut, put your end plate/sling loop on,some filing of the tab, then your good to go IMO is the cleanest look for pistol tube Exile makes a nice rubber or foam tube cover I also like Paracord wrap I have three AR Pistols I prefer the Rock River tubes ( PSA tube is RR ) as far a buffer weight depends on caliber my 556 with 7 1/2' barrel is H, 300 blackout 10 1/2" barrel is H2, and my 9mm 7 1/2" barrel is spikes 9mm and spikes spacer all of mine use standard carbine spring |
