Exactly how far out from the back of the upper do the various length buffer tubes extend? I know there are a bunch of different options out there, so actual data from actual owners would be ideal.

7 1/4 inch from castle nut with H-2 buffer. It has a 7 1/2 inch barrel and a m-16 BCG. This works out well together.
