If I put one of these on a pistol build will it be considered an "AOW"?
It isn't "vertical" yet it is a forward grip.. Magpul AFG2 |

It is my understanding that it IS acceptable to use the AFG on a pistol... Someone on one of the boards posted a letter that came from the techboys at the ATF. It was in regards to a CAI Champion (AK pistol). I do have a copy of it saved on another computer, but Im not at home right now. I will see if I can dig it up later tonight, and post it.
That said, I am not a lawyer, and as most letters from the BATF, they are subject to interpretation (theirs, not yours!!!)... I personally wouldn't do it, just to avoid the headache it might create. -then again, Im not a big fan of the AFG either. |
